Horsewoman and author, Jo Ann Heppermann speaks to groups large and small about the highs and lows of owning Thoroughbred racehorses. She speaks to travel groups in Kentucky for the Kentucky Derby as well as to civic and social organizations and book clubs. She will make you laugh as she shares with you what it is like to own racehorses, why she thinks it is sometimes fun and why she believes that hope spring eternal, particularly if you look at life—and horses—through rose colored glasses!

Jo Ann is the general counsel and director of marketing for Equine Business Resources LLC, a consulting firm she and her husband own and operate in Goshen, Kentucky. Prior to joining EBR full time in October, 2007, Jo Ann worked in the legal, insurance and financial services sector for eighteen years, both as a lawyer and as a business manager. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Jo Ann taught school and managed law firms. She earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville and her B.S. and Masters in Education from the University of Missouri.
